Certificate of Authenticity
Los Angeles Violin Shop is proud to announce our new affiliation with the following internationally-recognized French bow and instrument experts:
- World-renowned instrument appraisers Jean-Jacques Rampal and Jonathan Marolle
- World-renowned bow appraisers Jean-Francois Raffin, Sylvain Bigot, and Yannick Le Canu.
-These experts participate in our annual Authenticate LA event. Owen carries out pre-inspections of the instruments and bows before showing them to the experts above.
Contact Owen Lee for shipping arrangements and appointments. For more information, please visit us at www.authenticatela.com.
We provide instrument evaluations and insurance appraisals for individuals and estates; we can also help advise you on which insurance may be best for you.
Written appraisals are necessary to acquire insurance for both privately owned instruments/bows and estate settlements. Please feel free to ask us about written appraisals. Appointments are preferred for this service.
Our goal is to provide the most accurate number if you wish to sell your instrument. It is very important that you bring a certification of authenticity so that we can conduct a targeted search within our databases.
When it comes time to allocate the estate after the passing of a loved one, it’s important to have their items evaluated to ensure a proper distribution. Like insurance appraisal, LAVS provides a written appraisal for the family to use in their proceedings. LAVS does not provide legal advice in probate law.
We understand some feel the full financial weight of purchasing string instruments, so we have financing plans available for our customers.
At the time of purchasing, we request a down payment of 30% or more of the instrument/bow. After that, you will spread the balance across 6 or 9 months with no interest.
We hope that this relieves families of any stress and burden when it comes to pursuing music.
