Victor BERNARD was born in 1985 near Paris, France.
After graduating from the Newark School of Violin Making, passionate about bow making, he worked five years in Brussels under Pierre Guillaume’s expertise in bow making and restoration where he was able to develop his taste for antique bows.
He gained work experiences with bowmakers Georges Tepho, Eric Fournier, Eric Grandchamp in Brittany, Noel Burke, Robert Morrow, Stéphane Thomachot at the Bantry Festival and Emmanuel Carlier in Paris.
In 2014, he joined the Atelier Flagey in Brussels and work alongside with violinmaker Joanne Van Bosterhaut.
He has won First Prize Violin making in Viola’s Paris 2019, one Gold Medal and 5 Certificates of Merit at the Violin Society of America, one Gold Medal, two Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal at the International Bow making Competition Germany.
In 2022 at VSA, Victor received Gold Medal for his violin bow, and certificate of Merit for his Cello and Viola bow.
