Two-piece maple back with just a hint of flaming. Ribs and scroll match the back. Medium grained spruce top. Varnish is a rich walnut/chocolate brown that lets the wood grain show through and darkens toward the edges and in the corners. Very mild antiquing on the lower half of the back simulating shoulder wear and on the front upper right bout suggesting hand hold. Soundholes are in the del Desu style. Pegs, tailpiece, and chinrest are boxwood in a medium café au latte color that contrast nicely with the varnish
