Jean Han has been teaching at LA Music Academy since 2013, and is one of our favorite teachers.
Jean is from Seoul Korea, and started playing the violin when she was seven years old. She fell in love with the sound of the viola at Sunhwa High School, and took her Bachelors degree in Viola Performance from the Korean National University of Arts.
Her teaching experience includes positions at Holistic Gospel Ministry School, New Life Vision Church Academy, and currently at LA Music Academy.
Jean’s performance career includes the viola chairs in L.A. Sinfonietta and Dosan Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also a member of the Melody Star ensemble. And has played at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Royce Hall at U.C.L.A, The Hollywood Bowl, Zipper Hall at Coburn School, the Alex Theater, Nokia Theater, and others.
Jean has experience playing Classical, Gospel, and Popular music, and playing solo, in small ensembles, and in full orchestras brings variety and vitality to her lessons
With such a wealth of musical experience, and her patient and inspirational personality, Jean has helped many students and is an important member of the Los Angeles Music Academy team
