Daniel YoonJae Park


Renowned in the Korean community, Violinist Yoon-jae Park has been actively involved with music since childhood. 2002 marked his debut as a concertmaster of the L.A. Korean Chamber Orchestra and the L.A. National Orchestra. His musicality and leadership have allowed him to lend his talent to professional media programs like KBS “Rest”, CBS “Gospel Hour”, EBS “Parents”, and AM 1650 “Home Sweet Home.”

A graduate of University of Southern California (1997-2004), Yoon-jae Park has been recognized as a dedicated, skilled musician. Currently a professor of music at Bethesda University in Anaheim, California, he taught the violin at USC Thornton School of Music as a T.A, was a master class teacher in Korea (2007), and directed the music department at Immanuel United Methodist Church since 2000. With such a prestigious education, Mr. Park has been asked to judge and evaluate at many competitions, including the United States Piano and String Competition of Hymm, SYMF Competition, Music Teachers National Association, and Orange County Korean Cultural Center Music Competition.

Venues at which Mr.Park has played include the Walt Disney Concert Hall, President Nixon Library, and Muckenthaler Art Center alongside USC professors. In Korea, he performed in cultural centers such as Da Som Culture Center and Gusan Culture Center. He has also made many concerto appearances and performed with Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra, Gun-San City Philharmonic Orchestra, JB Orchestra, and L.A. Korean Orchestra.

Yoon-jae Park is the leader of Park Trio, one of the most well-known ensembles in Los Angeles County. Along with his wife Soo-Jung Park (cello) and brother Andrew Park (piano), the Park Trio is best described as a unique blend of drama, warmth, and humor that combines three distinct musical personalities to bring fresh insights to the piano trio repertoire. The group was founded in 1997 while each member was studying at University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Since then, their music has been revered by Californians and Koreans alike.

Mr.Park has recorded a Christian CD, “priere” with his chamber group, the Park Trio. The ‘Park Trio’ is actively performing nationally and internationally. They also have collaborated with several world-class musicians, such as Hye Kyung Suh and David Kim. They have performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, La Mirada theatre, Pasadena Pacific Civic Auditorium, Scottish Auditorium, Wilshire Ebell Theater, Muckenthaler Art Center, President Nixon’s Library, Zipper Hall, Idyllwild Arts Concert Hall, UCLA Concert Hall, and USC Concert Hall. Their concerts were sponsored by the Korea Times, the JoongAngIl Bo, and Music Teacher’s Association of California and those top groups such as Hyundai, POSCO, and cities like Seoul, Mokpo, Iksan, JeonJu, and Gunsan in Korea.

Mr.Park resides in Fullerton, Orange County area and his students have won the prizes from numerous competitions throughout the country.
