Shin, Go Eun
Violinist Goeun Shin was born in Korea and began playing the violin at the age of six. She made
her solo debut when she was ten with the Hungarian Symphony Orchestra.
She has received awards from Junior Chamber Music and the American String Teachers
Miss Shin has participated in Master Classes with Paul Kantor, Roger Wilkie and John Perry.
She has been a member of the Colburn Chamber Orchestra and is currently a member of the first
violin section of the American Youth Symphony.
She graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University where she was a
member of the University String Quartet.
When she played the Sibelius Violin Concerto in 2014 with Topanga Symphony, Topanga Messenger gave a review of her performance saying that, “she saved her best for the audience and delivered beautifully on the presentation of a love for the violin that was possessed by the composer, performer and the audience, and heard by all listeners in the international language of music.”
